Do you feel dirty and/or ashamed after you masturb...
July 9th, 2010 by Christina Jeter received No Comments »Why do some people have this syndrome? Self satisfaction is safe and ok right? In today’s society where all you see and hear about is sex, why not take a moment out for yourself? Our culture has become so sexually supercharged that even NASCAR would lose sells if it didn’t have a hot chic waving the checkered flags in the commercials.
I often wonder if it is a popularity contest based on who can be the most promiscuous, especially when oral sex too often replace the standard first date goodnight kiss. Now people with religious backgrounds are still facing the stigma that it is wrong and immoral to know your body in a sexual way. Adam and Eve ate from the forbidden tree and knew shame and discovered sin. Today’s Christian values are still preached, as in, waiting until you are married to have any form of sexual relations, whether with self or some one else, however lust and desire are often overlooked or blanketed by the words self control and abstain.
Everybody has desires and sometimes you may not have a husband or wife to act them out with, so what do you do. Most people either repress lustful feelings or overindulge in self relations or relations with others. Either way, research shows that married men and women who masturbate enjoy more sex and happier sex. The question now is why: well, people that engage in sexual activities of any kind, if enjoyable, tend to want more of that activity. Kinda like finding a good restaurant and wanting to eat there all the time. The only problem, however, is that, unlike a good restaurant where you get full and go home, masturbation, like Chinese food, just fulfills you momentarily leaving you seemingly hungrier later. In essence, the more you do it, the more you want it. Studies have also shown that abstaining from masturbation and sexual activities actually causes your body to be aroused left frequently and less intensely, meaning fewer of those unwanted at work horn dog episodes, where you’re running to the bathroom in almost cold sweats, hoping no one is watching you. So less in this case, truly is more. Less touching more calming, however, once married, more touching, more wow!
I am here to say don’t feel embarrassed about self pleasure, as it is not a social subject, but a healthy aspect of life. It is about exploring your body and sexuality and being educated in order to interact with it amicably. If you think about it, anything used with over consumption is not good for you. So when you are with your partner, you can instruct them on what you like to help you achieve orgasms and not be ashamed of quality time with hubby or wifey in a perfectly unorthodox and freaky manner. Keep on freakin’ on!
